Newcastle striker Leon Best has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 play-off tie against Estonia.
Best was left out of the initial squad after being omitted for the previous two qualifiers against Andorra and Armenia.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew had urged Giovanni Trapattoni to include Best in his plans for the Republic and the former Coventry man has now been drafted into the squad.
Trapattoni has opted to bring in Best with West Brom striker Shane Long unlikely to recover from injury in time for the two games and Kevin Doyle suspended for the first leg
Best, who has scored three goals for Newcastle this season, will be hoping to add to his six caps by featuring against Estonia later this month.
