Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has conceded that Barry Bannan is 'feeling it' after resuming first-team training.
The 21-year-old was suspended by the Premier League club recently after he was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The Scotland international was involved in a motorway crash and McLeish did not expect the youngster to be 'singing and dancing' upon his return.
However, McLeish is delighted to have Bannan back in his squad and he is confident his team-mates have welcomed his return.
"He's back in the fold but you can't expect somebody to come in singing and dancing and laughing as if nothing's happened," said McLeish.
"He's feeling it a bit and he wouldn't be human if he wasn't.
"But he's back in and the lads I'm sure will be as friendly and hospitable to Barry as they normally are."
