Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham is in line to make his first-team return in Thursday's Europa League clash with Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
The former Sunderland stopper has missed the last seven months of action for the Potters after rupturing cruciate knee ligaments against Chelsea in April.
Higginbotham returned to training last month, but an injury to left-back Marc Wilson in Monday's 3-1 home defeat by Newcastle means Pulis will hand him a recall.
With so many more matches on the horizon before the season is done Pulis knows the 32-year-old will still have a big part to play for the club this term.
"Danny has been a big player for this club," commented Pulis.
"He's had to bide his time, but has done well in the reserves.
"We've had so many games already this season, so he has a huge part to play."
