Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho will be without the services of Kaka, Alvaro Arbeloa and Marcelo for his side's UEFA Champions League Group D clash with Lyon on Wednesday.
The trio are struggling with muscle problems and have been left out of the 20-man squad for Los Blancos' trip to France on Matchday Four.
Playmaker Kaka and full-back Arbeloa both missed training on Monday, with the former struggling with a muscle injury in his right leg and the latter enduring a problem with his left thigh.
Left-back Marcelo also has a minor knock, as he is nursing a muscle problem in his left thigh.
Portuguese centre-back Ricardo Carvalho is another to have been left behind in Madrid because of a back problem that has kept him on the sidelines for a month.
Madrid, who defeated Lyon 4-0 at home a fortnight ago on Matchday Three, are currently top of Group D with nine points from three matches and will qualify for the last 16 with a win at Stade de Gerland.
