West Brom midfielder Paul Scharner has been ruled out of Saturday's trip to Arsenal with a knee injury but hopes to return for the following game against Bolton.
The Austrian revealed on Tuesday that scans have shown ligament damage in his knee.
He suffered the injury at the weekend after a collision with Charlie Adam during the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
Scharner will be unavailable when the Baggies travel to Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this weekend but hopes to return to action after the two-week international break that follows.
He told the Express and Star: "The target is to be back again on the pitch for the Bolton game.
"Hopefully it will be just this one game against Arsenal I will miss.
"I have to think positive now and work hard to come back in time."
