Jerome Thomas has admitted it will be difficult to repeat last season's shock victory at Arsenal ahead of West Brom's trip to the Emirates on Saturday.
West Brom recorded a surprise 3-2 away victory against Arsenal last campaign which has been hailed as one of the club's finest achievements in the Premier League.
The Baggies enter this Saturday's contest on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool though and their defence will again be tested by Robin van Persie who netted a hat-trick in the 5-3 thumping of Chelsea at the weekend.
"We saw their result and we would have been a lot more confident if we hadn't seen what they did to Chelsea," Thomas told the Birmingham Mail.
"Everyone knows going to the Emirates isn't going to be easy regardless of what form Arsenal are in and what form we're in.
"We can take confidence from our performance last season but it's a whole new year now.
"Whatever game we go into, there is no game that we think we can't get anything from, even the big games, so we can't say we go there with no pressure."
