Coventry City have opened talks with captain Sammy Clingan about a new deal at the Ricoh Arena.
Clingan is in the final year of his contract and Coventry are keen to secure the midfielder's long-term future.
The Northern Ireland international admits talks are at an early stage, but that he would be happy to stay if a deal can be agreed.
"It's just at the start - I've had talks with my agent, the gaffer and the chairman but it's early days yet," Clingan told the Coventry Telegraph.
"This is my third year at the club and it has absolutely flown by.
"I have really settled in well here and my girlfriend has, too. I love living in Leamington and if things are right then yes, definitely, I will stay."
