Roma director general Franco Baldini has revealed that midfielder Daniele De Rossi's future at the club will become clearer in two weeks' time.
The Italy international's current contract with Roma runs out at the end of the season, and although negotiations over a new deal have started, nothing concrete has materialised yet.
A number of clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, have been linked with De Rossi in the past, and Manchester City too are reportedly interested in the 28-year-old.
Baldini has now disclosed that talks between Roma and De Rossi are going on and that progress could be made in the next couple of weeks.
"There have already been a couple of meetings with his (De Rossi's) agent," he said. "It's one of my priorities.
"In about a couple of weeks, it is possible that we would know something more about it."
