City midfielder could take in loan move to build up experience
Skysports.com understands Portsmouth are leading the chase to sign highly-rated Manchester City youngster Abdul Razak on loan.
The 18-year-old is considered one of the best prospects at City and is being tracked by a host of Championship clubs.
Razak made his City debut as a late substitute against West Bromwich Albion in February and also featured off the bench in the Premier League against Wigan Athletic last month.
The Ivory Coast-born midfielder has started both of City's games in the Carling Cup this season and impressed in Wednesday's 5-2 mauling of Wolves.
He could now be allowed out of the Etihad Stadium on a temporary basis to gain further first-team experience in the Championship.
Portsmouth, who are currently looking for a new manager following Steve Cotterill's departure to Nottingham Forest, are understood to be at the front of the queue to snap up Razak.
