Hamburg have no intention of allowing Maximilian Beister to leave Imtech Arena on a permanent basis at the end of his loan with Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The Germany Under 21 forward joined Dusseldorf on a two-year loan in the summer of 2010 and he has impressed while with the second division club.
There has been speculation Beister will not return to Hamburg after the end of his temporary move, despite having a contract until June 2013.
But general manager Frank Arnesen insists that is not the case, as he told BILD: "We want Maxi to be with us. It's perfectly clear we are taking him back.
"He has hit like a rocket. I am in intensive touch with Wolf Werner (general manager of Fortuna Dusseldorf).
"It's about the technical and tactical progress of Maximilian Beister. But also about his way of living."
Hamburg have been looking to the future and last week signed a contract extension with goalkeeper Tom Mickel until the summer of 2013.
