Aldershot captain Ben Herd admits it would be a 'fairytale' to knock Manchester United out of the Carling Cup on Tuesday.
The Recreation Ground is preparing to host one the biggest nights in its history when Sir Alex Ferguson's defending Premier League champions arrive.
United will take on League Two minnows Aldershot on the back of the embarrassing defeat to Manchester City and Ferguson is expected to name a much-changed team.
But last season's UEFA Champions League finalists will still be strong favourites and Herd confesses it would be a dream come true if he and his team-mates can produce a giant-killing.

Asked what victory would mean to Aldershot's fans, defender Herd said: "It would be a fairytale, really.
"A little club like ours, you look around, it's not old Trafford is it? It means everything to them - it would be like a dream come true."
Herd, who was at Watford with United's Ashley Young at junior level, also recognises a major upset against Ferguson's men would probably represent the peak of his professional life.
He said: "It would be the stuff dreams are made of. It would be by far the biggest achievement of my career and probably forever, really.
"So it would be a momentous night and achievement if it was to happen."
