Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is confident midfielder Daniele De Rossi will extend his contract and remain at the Serie A club.
De Rossi has been at the Italian side for his entire career but his current deal is due to expire next summer.
The Giallorossi are in talks with the 28-year-old over a new contract but risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season if an agreement cannot be reached.
A host of clubs are thought to be waiting in the wings to snap up De Rossi, with Manchester City among those believed to be interested.
But while Sabatini admits offers have been tabled from elsewhere, he is adamant the Italian will stay in the capital as negotiations continue.
"De Rossi wants to remain at Roma and he will do," the Roma chief told Centro Suono Sport.
"The player has received important offers but on the other hand there is the strong will of Roma to keep him.
"Daniele has shown willingness to Roma and we have not pushed the situation. We are not afraid of time passing. We are calm and the player is brave."
