Swansea City have confirmed that they are to open contract talks with Scott Sinclair.
The 22-year-old winger joined the Swans last season from Chelsea and played a major role in their promotion to the top flight.
Sinclair has now settled well into life back in the Premier League and Swansea are keen to reward his displays since arriving.
"I feel that if you have an asset at the club, whether it's player or manager, then it's in the best interests of the club to tie them down," said Swans boss Brendan Rodgers.
"I have spoken to Scott already. Scott's happy and we have regular communication to know where he is at.
"It's a situation we will look at as a football club. He's loving his football and is in a great place for his development. The supporters and people love him here. He loves being here."
