West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's Premier League derby against Aston Villa.
The Scotland international picked up a knee injury in training after playing for the reserves in mid-week against Arsenal.
Dorrans will now undergo an assessment on Saturday morning to see if he is able to feature against Villa, when West Brom will aim to follow their win over Wolves with another Midlands derby success.
Baggies boss Roy Hodgson said: "Graham Dorrans has had a tweak of his knee.
"He played almost 60 minutes against Arsenal reserves and played very well.
"There were no problems with that, but then he went out to train the following session and felt a slight twinge in his knee. We immediately took him out of that training session for precautionary reasons.
"He's missed the last couple days' training as a precaution. It's not a major injury and the doctor will reassess him tomorrow (Saturday) morning and we'll see how it goes."
Hodgson will not consider defender Gabriel Tamas until he has fully recovered from his recent thigh injury for fear of him being absent for a lengthy period.
He said: "Gabi's injury is a muscle strain at the very top of the thigh. Those injuries are quite dangerous because it's his kicking leg and you're always using that muscle, not only when you're running, but also when you're kicking.
"We're anxious to make sure we get him 100 per cent right before we put him back into action. If he was to exaggerate the injury it could keep him out for a longer period."
Peter Odemwingie came off the substitutes' bench and looked sharp in the win over Wolves after his recent ankle problems, but admits he faces competition from Shane Long, Somen Tchoyi and Simon Cox.
Hodgson said: "It was good to see him come on and be the player we know he can be. He's missed a lot of football this year. I think he has started only three or four games.
"His season is still in its infancy, but it was good to see him come and take Somen's place, have a good spell, and what's more, score a cracking goal."
