Wycombe striker Matt McClure is making progress in his recovery from a dislocated ankle and could be back in the new year.
McClure, who signed a two-year contract extension in March, suffered the injury in mid-August while on loan at Hayes & Yeading.
The 19-year-old recently received the go-ahead to remove the protective boot he had been wearing and can now perform weight-bearing exercises.
"Matt has been working very hard in the gym and in the swimming pool," physio Stuart Ayles told the club's official website.
"He is progressing well and is on course for a return to action in early January."
