Knill: Ajose will come good

Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill has assured the club's fans that Nicky Ajose will live up to their expectations this season.

The striker is currently on a three-month loan with the Iron from Peterborough having impressed Knill during their time together at Bury last season. Ajose notched 13 goals in 28 league appearances for the Shakers but he is yet to get off the mark since reuniting with Knill at Scunthorpe. "Maybe it's a little bit of our fault," Knill told the club's official website. "We built him up to the fans when we first brought him to the club. "But we, more than anything, know what he is capable of. "It's a case of trying to find a solution to his loss of form, because inevitably as a striker he will go through another barren run in his career."
