Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson has ruled out bringing Jordan Slew back to the club on loan following the arrival of Blackpool duo Matt Phillips and Billy Clarke.
Teenage striker Slew only joined Premier League outfit Blackburn on deadline day in a £1million deal, but he has yet to make his Rovers debut.
However, Wilson says that the timing is not right to bring the 19-year-old back to the club where he scored three times in 14 appearances.
"I don't think it is the right time to bring Jordan back to the club at this moment in time and we've not made any enquiries about it," Wilson told skysports.com.
"He is a Blackburn player now and they will decide what they need to do with him.
"If that means putting him up for loan then we will consider that when it comes along, but I don't feel that that will happen at this moment in time.
"Ched Evans, Chris Porter and Richard Cresswell have linked up really well in recent games and getting Ched fit again and in contention has been a big bonus for us.
"We feel that we have got a decent bit of back-up in that area at the moment, with Billy Clarke coming in from Blackpool as well, but we are always looking for forward players to come in because that is where success comes from.
"Scoring goals will help you achieve things and we will continue to look for new signings in that area, but the boys are doing great at the moment."
