Scott Dann insists Blackburn know what they need to do in order to climb away from the bottom of the Premier League as his partnership with Chris Samba begins to take shape.
Under-pressure Steve Kean saw his side slip to the foot of the top flight over the weekend, despite ending a run of two defeats with a 1-1 draw at QPR on Saturday.
Dann, a summer signing to replace Phil Jones after his move to Manchester United, and captain Samba delivered a promising display at Loftus Road.
And, ahead of next Sunday's match against in-form Tottenham, the former Birmingham man hopes his new club are moving in the right direction.
Dann told Blackburn's official website: "The more me and Chris play together, the better we are going to get.
"When you start playing with a new defensive partner, you do have to learn about the way they play and that does take a little bit of time.
"I am really enjoying myself here and hopefully we can start creeping up the table sooner rather than later.
"We know what we need to do to put things right."
