Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic is pleased to have signed a new contract that will see him remain with the Serie A club until 2016.
The 21-year-old, who can play up front as well as a winger, is rated as one of the most promising young players in Europe and has been on the radar of a number of bigger clubs on the continent.
Jovetic, though, is delighted to have committed his future to the Florence-based Italian outfit and is grateful to them for supporting him throughout last season which he missed because of a serious knee injury.
"I'm happy to have renewed the contract," the Montenegro international told Fiorentina's official website. "I'll always give my best for the Fiorentina shirt."
Fiorentina co-owner Andrea Della Valle further enthused: "He (Jovetic) wanted to start a new cycle with us.
"After a difficult year in which we worked closely with him, he wanted to give us a signal."
Jovetic has been in good form for Fiorentina so far this campaign, scoring two goals and providing as many assists in six Serie A appearances, as the Viola find themselves in mid-table with eight points from six matches.
