Dartford waiting for striker to make a decision on move

Bournemouth have had an offer accepted from non-league side Dartford for Charlie Sheringham as Lee Bradbury seeks to improve his striking options. Sheringham is enjoying his second season with the Conference South club and is already into double figures for the campaign. The son of former England international Teddy, the 23-year-old has previously been on the books of the likes of Millwall, Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace. He also had a trial with Bournemouth in 2004 and Sheringham is now considering the opportunity to join the League One club. Dartford have confirmed an offer, reported to be worth £25,000, has been accepted and are now waiting for Sheringham to make a decision on the move. "Charlie Sheringham has been informed of the offer from AFC Bournemouth and is currently taking advice from his advisors with regards to this," Dartford company chairman Bill Archer told the club's official website. "Charlie is really happy at Dartford FC. He doesn't need to go away and leave and we will hang on to him if possible, but we will not stand in his way to progression if he chooses to move on."
