Rotherham United boss Andy Scott has completed the loan signings of defensive duo Guy Branston and Jon Harley.
Centre-back Branston, who previously played for the Millers between 1999 and 2004, arrives from Bradford on a three-month deal while left-back Harley has put pen to paper on a one-month stay from Notts County.
Branston told the club's official website: "I got a phonecall (on Thursday night) from my gaffer (Phil Parkinson). I was very surprised but when I asked who the club was and he explained I thought it was an opportunity to come and play football.
"That is what I'm about, I don't believe in sitting on benches so I decided to take the opportunity to sign for Rotherham and I have got a big grin on my face, I am very pleased."
Meanwhile, Harley added: "I spoke to (Magpies boss) Martin Allen and he told me that Rotherham were interested in taking me.
"This is a great chance for me to come here and hopefully play games. Rotherham are a good club and they have given me the chance to come and play football which is something that I have been missing this season, so it was a no-brainer for me.
"I spoke to the manager here, Andy Scott, and everything sounded positive, so here I am and hopefully I can get a good month behind me."
