Potters defender open to extending loan stay at Portman Road

Defender Danny Collins is open to extending his loan stay at Ipswich until the end of the season after enjoying life at Portman Road so far. The Stoke man, who is currently due to remain with the Tractor Boys until December 10th, has impressed during his first three months with the Championship side. The 31-year-old Wales international will consider his options when the transfer window reopens in January but he has not ruled out staying put. "I go back there (Stoke) for about 20-odd days until the transfer window opens again and we will see what happens then," he told Ipswich's official website. "I'll see what the gaffer says when I go back to Stoke, but if we're doing well here, I want to be a part of it. "I'm enjoying it and it's a nice place to be around, especially when we're winning as that always helps. "But I've got other things aside from football going on at the minute, with a baby on the way, but perhaps we could extend my loan until the end of the season and then see how things go from there."
