Striker Craig Beattie is closing on a comeback for Swansea after recovering from injury sooner than expected.
An ankle problem had threatened to keep the former Celtic man on the sidelines for three months but he made a goalscoring return after just four weeks in Friday's friendly against Llanelli.
The Scot came on at the break and scored a second-half strike as the Swans beat their Welsh neighbours 3-0.
"I'm feeling really good," 27-year-old Beattie told Swansea's official website.
"The specialist told me 10-12 weeks at the start and I've managed to get it down to four so it was good to get 45 minutes and a goal as well."
Beattie, who is yet to feature for the Swans this season, says he enjoyed linking up with fellow Scot Stephen Dobbie on Friday.
"We hit them on the break and it was a nice cut back from Dobbs - I managed to get a sidefoot on it and put it in the corner," he said.
"We've not played together much since we have been here but I thought we linked up well."
