Juventus winger Emanuele Giaccherini is set to avoid a lengthy spell on the sidelines after a scan confirmed his thigh injury was not as bad as first feared.
Giaccherini, a summer arrival from Cesena, sustained the knock in training on Thursday, leading to fears he could be out for some time.
However, the scan has confirmed the 26-year-old had suffered no tear to the muscular tissue and he should now be fit for Juve's next Serie A outing at Chievo on 16th October.
"The tests showed an inflammation of the player's iliopsoas muscle which will reduce in the coming days with continued medical treatment," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The winger is expected to return to the group within a week."
