Barker and Green close on returns
Derby have confirmed that duo Shaun Barker and Paul Green are closing in on their returns from injury.
Barker, Derby's captain, had knee surgery in April to cure a long-standing problem and the 29-year-old is now close to a return to training
Green has also been out since April with a cruciate ligament problem, but he too is progressing well.
Derby County physio Neil Sullivan explained: "Shaun Barker and Paul Green are both seeing the specialist on 19th October and we'll see from there if they can progress to training, as expected.
"Shaun has been working very hard and is taking part in lots of progressive running drills now. There's plenty more work to come too and hopefully this will include two or three reserves games to get him back to match fitness."
Meanwhile, Rams striker Nathan Tyson, who has missed Derby's last three games because of a groin problem, is set to return.
Sullivan added: "Nathan has been doing some running this week and hopefully he will be back in training in about a week."
