Lee Hughes revealed it was an easy decision to sign a new contract at Notts County, describing the club as "like a family".

The 35-year-old striker penned a new deal at Meadow Lane, extending his stay until 2013. Hughes told the Magpies' official website: "I thought about it and I thought the team's going places at the moment, the last year, Martin's took us so far and I can see we're going to go further now. "We're aiming for higher things and I'm just over the moon. I'm really enjoying it here and I love playing in front of these fans. "I said in the meeting, it's like a family here. The chairman's been brilliant to me and we've got a great feel about our relationship."
