Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde has undergone a third knee operation as he bids to return to full fitness.
Bodde returned to his native Holland to have the minor surgery which the club claim is not related to his previous injuries.
The procedure is likely to sideline the 29-year-old for up to eight weeks.
Bodde has been dogged with injuries over the last few years and has started just two games since November 2008.
Better news on the injury front for Swansea is that Craig Beattie and Andrea Orlandi have returned to training after ankle and knee problems respectively.
Midfield duo Leon Britton and Kemy Agustien are also set to boost Brendan Rodgers' options by returning to training after the international break.
