On-loan Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has hailed his Blackpool debut as 'perfect'.
The 19-year-old marked his Seasiders bow with a stunning 35-yard free-kick in the 5-0 demolition of Bristol City on Saturday.
Shelvey scooped the man of the match honours at Bloomfield Road and he was delighted to score on his bow.
"It is definitely the furthest out I've ever scored from in a professional game," said Shelvey.
"I try stuff like that quite often, though. I have tried lobbing the keeper from the halfway line a few times, and hopefully I'll be able to do one of those at Bloomfield Road.
"The manager just told me to go and express myself, which is what I like to do.
"The day couldn't have gone any better for me - it was perfect."
