Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury believes it is 'great news' that highly-rated midfielder Harry Arter has agreed a new three-year contract with the club.
Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that Arter was in talks with the Cherries regarding an extension after impressing so far this season.
The 21-year-old has now accepted the deal on offer and Bradbury is happy that Arter is prepared to stay at Dean Court.
"It's great news for the club," Bradbury told the club's official website.
"Harry's come into the side and done brilliantly for us and he's a really bright prospect. I think he's learnt a lot and grown up too.
"I feel that given a bit longer in the team he will just keep progressing. He's more than happy to stay with us at AFC Bournemouth which is great news for all parties."
Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell added. "He's an integral part of a group of players who we want to be challenging for the Championship. We've got an aim and he's going to have a big part to play.
"We want to build around the younger players. Harry has proven he can play first-team football and is a key player in our squad now. He's keen to play, keen to learn and wants to carve out a great career for himself."
