Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin faces a further month on the sidelines after undergoing an operation on his toe.
Grandin has not featured for the Seasiders since the middle of August and has sat out the Championship club's last six games.
He is now unlikely to be available for at least another four weeks after Blackpool boss Ian Holloway confirmed the Frenchman is back home recuperating after surgery.
"He's going to be probably four or five weeks from now because he's had a toe operation because of a ligament problem," Holloway told the club's official website.
"We've reattached it because it needed to be done. We could have waited but after four weeks of waiting it might not have healed naturally.
"Currently he's in France having some time with his family because we've got to keep him off football at the moment."
Grandin joined Blackpool from CSKA Sofia in 2010 and made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season, with his only goal coming in a 1-1 home draw with Aston Villa.
