Blackpool have signed Liverpool and England Under-21 midfielder Jonjo Shelvey on loan until the end of the year.
As revealed by skysports.com on Thursday, the 19-year-old has joined the Seasiders on a three month deal but the Reds can activate a 24-hour recall clause after 28 days.
He will go straight into Ian Holloway's squad to face Bristol City this Saturday as the Tangerines look to move back into the Championship's play-off places.
Shelvey has made 22 appearances during his time with the Anfield outfit and played in the 3-1 Carling Cup win over Exeter in August.
He was signed by Rafa Benitez from Charlton in April 2010 for a deal worth almost £2million after spending three years with the Addicks.
