Barnsley teenager Paul Digby has been left wanting more after his debut for the Tykes against Derby.

The 16-year-old came on for the injured David Perkins and helped his side to a 1-1 draw with the Rams at Pride Park.

The midfielder says the experience has motivated him even more to improve and earn regular first team football with Keith Hill's side.

He told the club's official website: "It was amazing. It was just a dream come true, really.

Smiling

"It was a great experience and I just loved it. I'm still an Academy lad. Now I've just experienced it, it just motivates me even more to try and get to that level and play there every week, in time."

"Words can't describe how I was feeling. So many things were going through my head - I just couldn't stop smiling.

"I've got to thank Keith Hill for the opportunity and trusting in me to go out and do a job - it's a massive thank you."

He added: "I enjoyed it. Going to a club like Derby and getting a 1-1 draw, it's not a bad result considering we've got a lot of injuries.
