Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has revealed his "dream" to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
The German giants will host the final at the Allianz Arena in May next year and have already established themselves as one of the contenders for the prestigious trophy, winning both their Group A matches.
Jupp Heynckes' side defeated Manchester City 2-0 at home on Tuesday evening in what was a very impressive performance to follow up their victory over Villarreal in Spain by the same margin on Matchday One.
Ribery, who played key roles in both their wins, has now stated his determination to win the Champions League with the Bavarian club.
"The final would be a dream for us, for me it's important I win the Champions League with Bayern Munich," he enthused. "What's happening here is incredible, at the moment we are one of the best teams in Europe."
The France international also thanked his coach Heynckes and stated: "He's not like a father to me, but almost, I think it's really important to get on well with him.
"I give 100 per cent effort for him, it makes my head a lot lighter. I do what he wants in attack and defence.
"I have become a completely different person over the past two years. My head feels free, my body feels good."
The 28-year-old's skills as a playmaker as well as his initiative to help out his team-mates in defending has drawn praise from striker Mario Gomez and Bayern captain Philipp Lahm.
"Franck is in the sort of form he has to keep up," enthused Gomez, who netted both the goals against City.
"He is irreplaceable for us and would be indispensable for any other team."
"He puts in plenty of work in defence, he worked up and down for 85 minutes from front and back and he made all the difference to us," explained Lahm.
