Davide Santon could be in line to make his Newcastle United debut this weekend.
The Italian full-back has been hit with a knee problem since joining the club, and earlier this month had to have fluid drained from his leg.
However, he has avoided surgery and is set to play for Newcastle's second-string against Swansea on Wednesday, and if he comes through unscathed he could be ready to figure at Molineux this weekend.
"We're pleased that Davide's playing, and there are also a few other senior players involved," said assistant manager John Carver.
"He had an issue with his knee, but it doesn't seem to be a huge problem, and we're looking forward to seeing him get some minutes under his belt."
