Boro boss denies fresh move for Jutkiewicz

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has denied claims he is lining up a renewed bid for Lukas Jutkiewicz. The Boro boss tried to sign the Coventry marksman on transfer deadline day, but they failed to strike a deal. A renewed bid was suggested but the Boro chief says that is not the case. "That would be news to me," he said. "It's common knowledge that we tried to sign him when the window was open but there's been nothing since then." Mowbray, who also tried to sign Ipswich's Jason Scotland on deadline day, has brought in Manchester City's Alex Nimely on loan and he seems happy with his options at the moment. "I'm not actively chasing," he said. "And I don't think there will be anything happening (with players coming in). "We asked clubs questions and it is up to them what the answer is."
