Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson has admitted he does not know how much longer the club can hold onto starlet Elliott Hewitt.
The 17-year-old right-back has made eight appearances this season and Simpson revealed other clubs have already shown an interest in taking him from Moss Rose.
"If there is a better right-back in the bottom two divisions as we speak I haven't seen one," Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester.
"He's absolutely unbelievable to say he's only just 17.
"Whether we can hang on to him I very much doubt, all the big boys are hovering."
Hewitt, a product of the club's youth system, made his Wales Under-21 debut in August and won his second cap earlier this month against Montenegro.
