Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia admits he is still hoping to grace the Premier League at some stage in his career.
The Cameroon international has been heavily linked with a move to England in the recent past, with a number of clubs reported to be keen on acquiring his services.
No deal has been pushed though, though, and Mbia remains in France for now.
He insists he is happy at Marseille, as he works his way back to full fitness following a spell on the sidelines, but concedes that it is still an ambition of his to play at the very highest level.
"I want to play at the very top," Mbia told skysports.com.
"Going to England has always been in my mind and I would love to play there one day.
"I was close to moving once and hopefully I will come back, play well and an English team will come back in for me.
"But at the moment I want to heal fully and play well for Marseille."
Mbia has been sidelined since the start of the season, but it has been suggested that he could be back in action by the time Marseille face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League on 19th October.
He said: "I am feeling much better. The injury is healing like I want it to and I would like to be back on the field as soon as possible.
"The club needs me but my team-mates are doing their best to get the season back on track."
