Steve Kean has been left sweating over the fitness of Scott Dann, Gael Givet and Michel Salgado following Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Newcastle.
Dann sustained a knee injury when Leon Best fell on him as the Magpies scored their third goal at St James' Park.
The Blackburn centre-back tried to play on but could not shake off the problem and had to leave the field just after the hour mark.
The extent of the damage will not become clear until he has undergone a scan, while fellow defenders Salgado and Givet also suffered knocks to leave Kean bemoaning his bad luck.
"He's not great to be fair," Kean said about Dann on Rovers' official website.
"After Leon Best fouls him, he bundles him over and lands on him and he's got quite a nasty bang on his knee so we'll have to get that scanned.
"We've also got injuries to Gael Givet who also got a nasty bang and Michel Salgado is feeling his hamstring, but we had to keep both players on the pitch.
"So that is a lot of injuries to come out of one game."
