Celtic boss Neil Lennon insists he has no issue with Kris Commons after he questioned his exclusion from the team. Commons on his official Twitter page questioned why he was not selected for last weekend's Old Firm derby defeat to Rangers claiming he was fit, which contradicted what Lennon said about the midfielder. Lennon has played down the incident and reiterated that Commons was not fit to be risked at Ibrox because of a groin problem.

Frustrated

"He said he was fit but he didn't train on Saturday and said he had a tight groin and I didn't want to take that chance with him," said Lennon. "I would have preferred it to be kept in-house but this is the modern age and social networking seems to be the way forward. "He's obviously frustrated that he was left out of the squad and I accept that but I'm not going to make a big issue of it."
