Blackpool striker wants to earn his place in the first team

Blackpool's new signing Daniel Bogdanovic says he is eager to break into the first team at Bloomfield Road. The Maltese striker moved from Sheffield United on deadline day for an undisclosed fee. He came on as a late substitute in the win over Ipswich last Saturday after already playing in League One for the Blades this season. The 31-year-old scored just five times in the South Yorkshire side's relegation last season after previously impressing for Barnsley. Blackpool have made a solid start to life in the second tier after their relegation from the Premier League in May. After seven games, Ian Holloway's side are seventh with just one defeat and have only failed to find the net once in the league.

Welcome

But Bogdanovic is keen to impress and says he has settled into the club, commenting: "They've made me feel welcome and I feel like I've been here for ages. "We have a nice group with great lads and I'll do my best to start every game. "That's obviously up to the gaffer but I'll do my best for him, the team and the people that pay for tickets to come and watch us. "I'm looking forward now to this adventure and I'm lucky to be here."
