Milan still unsure of comeback date for defender

AC Milan centre-back Philippe Mexes returned to training with his team-mates on Friday following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury. The France international has been out of action for more than five months after rupturing ligaments in his right knee. But despite his return to practice, an AC Milan spokesman said it was "too soon to say when he can play again." Mexes is yet to feature for the Rossoneri having arrived at the San Siro in May after suffering the knee injury playing for former club Roma against Juventus on 4th April. The 29-year-old has become a regular fixture in the France squad since the arrival of Laurent Blanc as coach but could miss his country's upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers. Les Bleus face Albania on 7th October before taking on Bosnia-Herzegovina four days later.
