Young playmaker aiming for title success on debut season

Paris Saint-Germain new-boy Javier Pastore has set his sights on Ligue 1 glory with the French giants. The Argentinian playmaker has made a bright start at PSG since arriving from Palermo this summer, scoring his first goal against Brest to seal a 1-0 win at the weekend. Pastore is setting his sights high and targeting the league title on his debut season in France. "I am here to be a champion," he told L'Equipe. "Paris is a great club, and like any great club it has players who want to go as high as possible. "Our natural objective is to reach as high as possible and becoming champions of France is what we all want the most." Pastore, 22, is enjoying life in Paris and feels his fitness has improved since his arrival, but believes there is still room for improvement. "I feel really happy at PSG, and even more so since I scored my first goal," he added. "I feel as much at ease as I did at Palermo. "My physical fitness is improving. It is great fun to play alongside very technical players like Nene, Jeremy Menez and Kevin Gameiro. But personally I can still improve greatly."
