PSV Eindhoven midfielder Atiba Hutchinson may have to go under the knife again in the near future, according to coach Fred Rutten.
The 28-year-old underwent an operation on his knee in late June but could require further work on the problem.
Rutten admits Hutchinson could be out for some time if he has another bout of surgery.
He told AD: "In all probability, he must undergo surgery again and then I'm afraid I'll lose him for a while.
"Atiba always gives 120 per cent and so we must analyse how well his rehabilitation process has gone."
Hutchinson, a regular performer for PSV last season, has only made one outing so far this term, coming off the bench in last month's 3-0 victory at ADO Den Haag.
