Dundee United star Johnny Russell has picked up the Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month award for August after a string of impressive displays.
The 21-year-old striker collected the trophy after making quite an impression for the Terrors.
Russell has become a regular starter in manager Peter Houston's side and has replaced David Goodwillie in attack after his big money move to Premier League outfit Blackburn during the summer.
The Scotland Under-21 bagged his first SPL goal of the season in the 5-1 hammering at Celtic, but the player has failed to start September in the same vein.
He received his first red card of his career in the defeat against Rangers for motioning his head towards Kirk Broadfoot at the weekend.
Russell's sending-off overshadowed what has been a great start to the season for the youngster and he has already apologised to his team-mates, club management and fans for his actions.
