Bayer Leverkusen manager Robin Dutt has refused to reveal if Michael Ballack will start against former club Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League meeting on Tuesday.
Ballack has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Bayer side this term with the midfielder finding himself on the bench for several games.
The 34-year-old, who left Chelsea for Bayer in the summer of 2010, is hoping to play against his former team-mates so that he can say his farewells to the Stamford Bridge faithful.
However, Dutt is not giving anything away regards his team selection for the opening game of their Champions League Group E campaign, but admitted he will be taking advice from Ballack on any inside knowledge on Chelsea
"I do not want to tell too many secrets to the media and to the other team's manager," Dutt told Bild.
"But it is a great advantage to have someone inside your squad that is fully aware of the opposite side and does know all the background and circumstances of that club."
Ballack admits it will be an emotional occasion for him returning to Chelsea after spending four years at the club.
"I had many, many very emotional days when being a player of Chelsea FC," noted Ballack.
"Some experiences went not so good. Especially in the UEFA Champions League.
"It was a tough campaign to reach the UEFA Champions League final with Chelsea FC then.
"I never really had the chance to say goodbye to the supporters of Chelsea FC. Playing from the start at Stamford Bridge would perhaps be a good opportunity to get in touch with the people there."
