Ndinga snubs Lyon interest

Congo international chooses stability and remains with Auxerre

Ndinga: Has a burning ambition to get Auxerre back amongst France's top clubs

Auxerre midfielder Delvin Ndinga has dashed Lyon's hopes of snaring him by signing a new four-year deal.

Lyon had reportedly tabled an 8million euro cash bid for the player, with a further 4million euros in add-ons.

Remi Garde, Lyon's coach, thought the offer and the potential to play UEFA Champions League football may have been enough to lure the player, but their bid was rejected.

"Despite my wish to return to the Champions League with another club, I decided to put stability and my life in Auxerre first and sign for four years," he told the club's official website.

"My ambitions remain intact, to help re-establish Auxerre among the top French clubs in the hunt for European football, and to help boost Congo's image at international level."
