Blackburn new boy Scott Dann admits he was determined to win a move back to the Premier League before the close of the transfer window.
Dann joined Rovers from Blackburn on deadline day after being linked with a host of clubs over the summer.
The former England Under 21 international is delighted to make the switch to Ewood Park as he wants to be playing at the highest level following Birmingham's relegation last season.
"It was massive for me to get back in the Premier League," Dann told Sky Sports News. "Obviously playing in it with Birmingham for the last two seasons I've had a taste of it and this is where I want to be.
"I am really delighted the gaffer has shown faith in me and brought me to the club.
"Obviously there was speculation for a while and you get that with any player and I am just happy to get back into the Premier League.
"I am delighted to be here at Blackburn and can't wait to play."
Blackburn have endured a difficult start to the new campaign, losing all three of their Premier League games, but Dann is confident they can climb away from trouble at the wrong end of the table.
"Obviously the new owners have come in recently and shown faith in the gaffer by spending a bit of money and with the players already here we need to start next Sunday [against Fulham] and get the first win under the belt and move on from there," added Dann.
"Without doubt there is a lot of quality in the squad and once we get the first win under the belt we will push on from there."
