Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti says he has been impressed with the signings the club has made this summer.
Diego Forlan and Mauro Zarate joined the Italian giants in the transfer window.
Former Manchester United striker Forlan signed from Atletico Madrid on a two-year contract, while Zarate has joined from Lazio on a loan deal that can be made permanent at the end of the season.
The Serie A season is yet to begin due to strike action but Moratti is excited by Inter's chances this season.
He told the club's official website: "I believe we have a very strong team. We have new players and so many possibilities.
"It has been an interesting and good transfer market. We begin the season with great ambition."
Zarate, 24, signs after being with Lazio since 2008.
Moratti said: "I got a call from the Lazio president yesterday morning and we managed to reach an agreement. It was a great move.
"Zarate is a player that we really wanted and he is very happy to be at Inter.
"Forlan is a champion that can make the fans dream."
