Blackburn have confirmed the signing of Everton forward Yakubu Aiyegbeni after the deal was rubber-stamped by the FA.
The move for Yakubu went down to the wire on transfer deadline day after Blackburn agreed a fee with Everton for the Nigerian.
The 28-year-old has joined for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.
The club have now been informed by the FA that the paperwork for the deal went through in time allowing Yakubu to make the switch to Ewood Park.
Rovers are also awaiting confirmation that the paperwork on a deal for Sheffield United's Jordan Slew has gone through with the youngster agreeing a four-year deal following Blackburn's late swoop for his services.
