Sky Sports sources understand Rangers have turned down a £9million offer for highly-rated striker Nikica Jelavic.
The identity of the interested party has not been revealed.
Jelavic was the subject of a £6.5million approach from Leicester earlier in the week, with the Foxes keen to bring in extra firepower.
Their approach was knocked back, but reports suggested Sven Goran Eriksson remained keen.
Rangers are reluctant to sell, though, and have made it clear that they will not be parting with Jelavic in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old was a revelation at Ibrox last season, notching 19 times despite being laid low with injury for a lengthy period of time.
